Becoming a Member
Commit to an annual donation of $400 ($100 per meeting for 4 meetings).
100% of donations go directly to local charities and non-profits in Waterloo Region.
Membership renews automatically after 4 meetings unless notice is given.
Donations are required even if you did not vote for the selected charity.
Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Donations must be paid prior to meetings.
Tax receipts are provided by the selected charity.
How Voting Works
Members can nominate a local charity by submitting our online form. Deadline will be posted on our “Nominate a Charity” prior to each meeting.
Charities must be based in Waterloo Region, established, and able to issue tax receipts.
Three charities are randomly selected to present at each meeting.
Each charity gives a 5-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session.
Members vote by secret ballot, and the charity with the most votes receives the group donation.
