Becoming a Member

  • Commit to an annual donation of $400 ($100 per meeting for 4 meetings).

  • 100% of donations go directly to local charities and non-profits in Waterloo Region.

  • Membership renews automatically after 4 meetings unless notice is given.

  • Donations are required even if you did not vote for the selected charity.

  • Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Donations must be paid prior to meetings.

  • Tax receipts are provided by the selected charity.

How Voting Works

  • Members can nominate a local charity by submitting our online form. Deadline will be posted on our “Nominate a Charity” prior to each meeting.

  • Charities must be based in Waterloo Region, established, and able to issue tax receipts.

  • Three charities are randomly selected to present at each meeting.

  • Each charity gives a 5-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session.

  • Members vote by secret ballot, and the charity with the most votes receives the group donation.
